Rural Youth Summit

Youth face different challenges when they decide to live and work in our rural areas. I've heard young people say there's no other youth in rural areas to form friendships and relationships with, and that it's hard to become a new farmer with the high price of land and our opinon is not valued.

At the Rural Youth Summit, October 26-27 at Ames, Iowa, rural young people (high school students,  technical college and university students, young farmers, professionals, entrepreneurs, new Americans, refugees and all young rural people) will work together to find solutions to these challenges, network with other rural youth, address Presidential candidates (invited) and learn from one another.

Additionally, the planning team - a collaboration of organizations and young rural folks - invite you (rural young people) to submit presentation proposals. Check www.iatp.org for Summit updates, registration information and call for presentations.
